Why we are designing a local core

We want core conversation and memory to work on the device you carry.

The product requirement is for speech recognition, generated text and personal memory to work on MO itself. A phone or cloud service should not replace that core.

Image questions have a different boundary. When you ask about a photo, optional phone or cloud support may be used with permission. The camera is not intended to keep taking pictures on its own.

Choosing hardware that can meet the required quality, response time and battery life remains part of the development work. A desktop experiment does not establish how the finished device will perform.
